(September 23, 2024) — Employers Health, a national pharmacy benefit group purchasing organization, was recently named as one of the 2024 Best Employers in Ohio by Best Companies Group in partnership with Crain’s Cleveland Business and Crain’s Content Studio-Cleveland. This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Ohio, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses.
This is the fourth consecutive year Employers Health has been recognized in the Small to Medium Employer Category (15-249 U.S. employees). Notable benefits at Employers Health include 100% employer-paid medical, dental and vision insurance for all employees and eligible dependents. Employees are also provided 19 paid holidays and a minimum of 20 vacation days annually.
To be considered for participation, companies had to meet the following requirements:
- Be a publicly or privately held business.
- Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity.
- Have a facility in Ohio.
- Have at least 15 employees working in Ohio.
- Be in business for a minimum of one year.
If eligible, companies had to participate in a two-part survey process. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. Best Companies Group managed the registration and survey process in Ohio, analyzed the data and used its expertise to determine the final rankings.
The rankings of the 2024 Best Employers in Ohio were unveiled in a special supplement produced by Crain’s Content Studio-Cleveland and published in Crain’s Cleveland Business on August 19.
