Employers Health is honored to announce Rachelle Firestone, of Kenan Advantage Group, as the 2019 recipient of its third annual Excellence in Benefits Award. The award is presented to a leader in employee benefits in recognition of his/her meaningful impact to the industry.
Firestone was nominated and unanimously selected by an independent panel of human resources and benefits industry professionals. Nominees were scored on the impact made in the field of employee benefits, achieved outcomes and contributions to the betterment of the overall workplace and community.
“Our organization exists to help benefits professionals succeed, so it’s only right that we recognize the good work within our membership. Rachelle has accomplished so much since arriving at K.A.G. and is a great advocate for its employees and their families. She pushes our team at Employers Health to always be better and holds us accountable for delivering on our promises,” stated Mike Stull, Chief Marketing Officer at Employers Health.
In her role as the director of benefits for Kenan Advantage Group, North America’s largest tank truck transporter and logistics provider, Firestone is responsible for the design and development of all benefit programs. Among her accomplishments with the company, she has harmonized benefits for all 18 subsidiaries, centralized all benefits functions into the company’s Canton Service Center and developed quarterly training for new staff on mental health topics including dealing with divorce, raising teens with mental illness and more.
